    1. Happy Easter, my friend. Easter Bun and Cheese is a Caribbean tradition. The popular meal on Good Friday morning is either a combination of spice bun and cheese or fried fish and bread-sometimes both. I am yet to find out when and why the bun and cheese tradition got started. But during the days leading up to Good Friday, supermarkets and bakeries go bunkers as people try to secure bun and cheese for family and friends.
Still, Easter bun and cheese has some religious connections. The combination is the meal of choice for people who have been fasting since Ash Wednesday. The bun is very sweet, and contain a variety of spices.
