Nanas scrumptious apple pudding


Chopped apples
Nana’s delicious apple pudding with walnut topping
Nana’s apple pudding batter
Nana’s scrumptious Jamaican apple pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • One egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk (You can make your buttermilk. One cup dairy milk to one tablespoon white vinegar)
  • One teaspoon vanilla
  • One teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 cups thinly chopped apples

Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • One teaspoon cinnamon
  • One tablespoon butter, (melted)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Directions:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • One teaspoon cinnamon
  • One tablespoon butter, (melted)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
  1. Turn on your oven and allow it to preheat to 325.
  2. Mix ingredients according to the order given. Stir until just well combined.
  3. Pour batter into a prepared 9×13 pan. You may sprinkle cinnamon sugar over mixture.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes. 
  5.  Allow pudding to cool completely.
  6. Once pudding cools, combine the last 4 ingredients to make the topping and sprinkle/spread it evenly over the batter.
