How to make Juliet’s pudding cake
Juliet’s pudding cake is a combo of a box cake recipe and old school baking. It is moist, comforting, and delicious. Not too sweet and not too salty. And most of its ingredients are plant-based.





Ingredients:
For the Cake
- One box yellow cake mix, (Any brand will suffice)
- One cup sour cream or one cup applesauce
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- Three eggs
- Two tsp vanilla extract
- One cup packed brown sugar
- Two tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
For the Frosting
One jar chocolate fudge frosting
Method:
For the Cake
- Whisk cake mix, oil, eggs, sour cream, or (applesauce) and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Next, add brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until incorporated.
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Pour the batter in the pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. (Every oven is different, so baking could take longer).
- Allow cake to cool completely before applying the frosting. Allow frosting to set before you dig in.
