Ingredients:
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
One cup butter or margarine softened
One teaspoon vanilla
One teaspoon nutmeg
One egg
Two cups whole wheat flour
One teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups of raisins
Directions:
- 1 Heat oven to 375°F.
- 2 Beat granulated sugars, brown sugar, softened butter, vanilla extract, and egg in large bowl until smooth. Stir in flour, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in raisins. Using a medium a cookie scoop, drop dough about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- 3 Bake dough 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
